Mid Cornwall Turners
 The club was established on the 13th August 2004. It was agreed by the founder members that the club would be known as "Mid Cornwall Turners".
The first three inaugural members were Peter Dulley, Everett Slade and John Coley.
The club has currently in excess of fifty members.
Mid Cornwall turners is an associated member of the AWGB Association of Woodturners of Great Britain.

About the meetings
The meetings are a relaxed and friendly affair, where club news and events are relayed to the members.
Demonstrations are a feature of most monthly meetings and may be given by a professional turner or two or three club members and will cover a wide variety of techniques and projects.
Open Display
You  can  bring  in and display any item that you have turned. A Critique Corner will soon be available for members for a friendly and consturctive critque of their work
Club Shop
The club runs a shop which sells turning blanks, sandpaper, sanding sealer etc. at discounted prices to members.
Also we sell Chesnut Products to club members again at a discounted price.
Club badges, polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps are also available to order.
Car stickers with the Mid Cornwall Turners logo are now available to purchase on club nights. £1 each or 2 for £1.50.
Training Sessions

Are held on 3rd Tuesday
of Each Month
Where?    Probus Village Hall
Time?       7pm to 10pm

Cost?         £5.00 Booked 1
                    month in advance
                    (To ensure Lathe and
                    Tutor availability).
These nights are for beginners/improvers.  Initially tools will be provided but in the long term it would be better if you have your own.  You need to bring in some wood and an idea of what you would like to turn.  Most importantly of all you need to have a go on the lathe.

Monthly Projects
The Monthly Project  prize is a bottle of wine each month with a £25 Axminster voucher for the person who enters the most projects throughout the year.
The Monthly Project  runs with a different theme each month.
